..For the travellers and backpackers, the problem comes in finding the right tour. Since you have never been to Rio before, I would like to suggest a tour.

...We can have fun by visiting these places:

  • Christ, The Redeemer
  • Sugar Loaf
  • Maracanã Stadium
  • Downtown (which includes Lapa, Selaron Staircase, San Sebastian Cathedral, Municipal Theater, Fine Arts Museum, National Library and Pedro Ernesto Palace)
  • Guanabara Bay (boat trip)
  • Rio-Niterói Bridge

....It's a tour that takes 10 hours (8am up to 6pm). We'll get around by using public transportation (bus and subway/metro), which cost 4,05 /4,60 reais. That's the easiest and inexpensive way to get to know Rio.

....How much do I charge to guide you by bus? 500 reais for group.

  • Tours don't include tickets for Christ The Redeemer, Sugar Loaf, Maracanã Stadium, Boat Trip, Copacabana Fortress and Urban Buses.
  • There are some other attractions: A slum/favela, Copacabana Fortress, Penha Church, Carnival Parade Ground, German Cable Car and Tijuca Forest.
  • You don't have to pay me in advance.
  • I will pick you up at your hotel, youth hostel or apartment and take you back.

  • If you hire me, i will offer you a free tour (if you stay in Rio de Janeiro for at least 3 days).
  • We may negotiate tour prices.
  • Have you ever received an unexpected gift from a tour guide? I have a surprise for you. Just hire me.

  • If you hire an official tour guide service, you can have at your disposal your own personal tour guide.
This will ensure that you will be able to avoid all the tourist traps and will never have to stand in one Line for any of your tours.
  • A tour guide should be able to keep you away from any serious dangers and annoyances. If something untoward does happen (and an accident can happen whatever precautions are taken) they will know the procedures to get you help quickly.
  • A guide should also be able to answer your questions, whether they be related to the site you are visiting or to some other issue about your travels. They will have contacts that can help with more complicated issues or should at least be able to point you in the direction of a solution.
  • You should find that having a tour guide in charge of your arrangements means that things run more efficiently. Certainly you will get more information from having a tour guide with you.
  • Keep in mind: big cities can be better with private guides.

About me
..I'm Wagner and I was born in Rio de Janeiro. I love my hometown. I have been working as a tour guide since 1992. I have a degree in tourism and i think that a good guide can make a crucial difference to your enjoyment of a destination. A private  tour guide comes with a lot of pros- individuality, privateness without any interruptions, the personal touch and flexibility.

...I also have a tour guide ID issued by Embratur (Federal Tourism Authority), which means I am a legal tour guide.

...I would like to be your tour guide while you visit Rio de Janeiro.
